What a nice gift! I'm sorry to hear you're having a problem, however. The good news is, the ALERA chairs do come with a five year manufacturer's warranty. You can contact ALERA, and they should be able to assist you. Please call 1-800-733-4000, select the prompt for Customer Care and then ask to speak with the Furniture Team. You'll need to explain you received this as a gift. They'll request the model and defective part number (if you have it). You'll just want to explain your situation and the defective part and that you need either a new chair or part, per the chair's warranty. They'll be happy to assist.

The ALERL8319CS - Alera Ispara Series Armless Cube Chair comes with a five year manufacturer's warranty. If your chair was purchased from OnTimeSupplies, it can be returned within 30 days of purchase for a refund or replacement. Otherwise, we can assist you in contacting the Furniture Team at ALERA regarding the warranty.
