Only the top of the MMM6549YW is sticky, just like a 'normal' sticky note.
MMM do manufacture a 'full-adhesive' sticky note. They are available in a variety of sizes and colors.
Also available is a 'super sticky' version of the original design, where the adhesive is along the top, however there is more adhesive and therefore sticks much better to most surfaces.
