The BWKSDSBWNY - Silicone Door Stop works in this way: the flat bottom rests on the floor. The door rests against the right side (the side with the ridges) and the left side rests against the wall. The ridged edge does not wedge underneath the door and therefore does not create friction on the underside of the door. In the photo, the item is shown on its side. This is a product to be used to keep a door from hitting and damaging a wall.
