To determine what chair mat is right for you, you'll first need to measure your carpet thickness:
- Straighten the end of a paperclip.
- Measure through padding from top of subfloor to top of carpet.
- Choose a chair mat with the same or greater depth based on your carpet measurement.
If your carpet measurement is up to 3/4" thick including the padding, this mat is a great choice. If you're unsure or if it's greater than 3/4" thick, then you'll need to size up to a plush pile mat like this one.
