Can this mount in a 2" desk hole or does it need to clamp to the side of a desk. I am looking for something like this that I can mount to a desk hole because I have a hutch on my desk

Yes, you can mount the WorkFit-LX Sit-Stand Workstation Mount System through your desk grommet (hole). The mounting hardware works with .5" - 2.5" grommets.
