The Pocket Memo 488 offers better sound quality than the 388. The 488 is more sensitive, producing higher quality recordings. The 488 also offers louder playback.
Pocket Memo 388:

- Output power: >100 mW
- Acoustic frequency response: 400–5,000 Hz
- Output power: >220 mW
