I would like to hang letter size hanging file folders. The hanging folders from center to center of the hook is 12 1/4". Will this work and how will it work? Please advise ASAP. Standard green hanging file folder.

The BDY6044 Buddy Products Personal File Storage Box is designed specifically for letter-sized files. The total interior width is about 13-1/2", so your folders aren't too tightly crammed for easy filing and retrieving. The hanging rails are just over 12" apart to support the file hooks.
