To make a product recommendation, I'd need to know the manufacturer of your cabinet. HON Single Cross rails are only guaranteed to fit HON Lateral Files. However, these will fit any HON Lateral File. So if you have a HON cabinet, these are your best bet.
You'll need to use two rails per 36" drawer. HON919491 Cross Rails are sold in packs of four. Order two packs, and you'll have the six rails you need for your 3 drawers with two left over.
