Thank you for your question about Innovera® DVD-R Recordable Discs.
All DVDs are either plus or minus, never both, as those are two different types of technology. Some DVD players and recorders support both formats, while some only support one or the other. Disc playability depends on what type of machine you have, not on the discs.
If your DVD recorder supports both DVD+R and DVD-R discs, you can copy data from any DVD-R to any DVD+R, and vice versa. The brand of the discs makes no difference.
If your DVD player plays some DVD-R and DVD+R discs, and won't play others, I suggest you contact the DVD player manufacturer for troubleshooting help.
