Hi Carol,
Thank you for your question about Quartet Map Rails.
You can use these map rails to tack up land plat maps and other paper displays with push pins. If you don't want to use push pins on your map, make sure you pick up a set of Quartet Map Hooks. These hooks attach to the rail, so you can hang your map without push pins.
