Hi Hannah,
Thank you for your question about the Easy-Adjust Monitor Arm Tablet Accessory.
You can check out the tablet tray assembly instructions here. The only things you need to put together the tray together are a Phillips screwdriver and an Easy-Adjust Monitor Arm (sold separately). The monitor arm also requires a screwdriver to assemble, as well as two 9/16" sockets. You can view the assembly instructions here.
