Hi Bruce,
Thank you for your question about the Victor® PL8000 1-Color Prompt Logic Printing Calculator.
Setting the time and date on your calculator can be a little confusing, because you don't start with the [TIME/DATE] Button. Here's how to do it:
- Press [PROG] four times so the display reads SET TIME / DATE?
- Press [OK].
- Enter the current time. You can use the standard 12-hour format or the 24-hour military format.
- Press [OK].
- Enter the date in the mm-dd-yyyy format.
- Press [OK].
- If you set the time in the standard 12-hour format, press the [TAX1/←] button. If you used the 24-hour military format, press [TAX2/→].
- Press [OK] to confirm the date.
- Press [OK] to confirm the time.
- Press [CE/C] to exit setup.
Now that you've set the date and time, you can view either by pressing [TIME/DATE] -- once for the day, twice for the time.
Hope this answers your question! You can download the PL8000 Calculator Manual here for complete setup and operating instructions.
Best,
Frankye
