Hi Sam,
Thank you for your question about Chartpak Vinyl Letters & Numbers.
ChartPak letters are completely waterproof. So much so, you can even use them for things like boats!
You do have to do a little prep work to get the best adhesion.
- These letters work best on smooth, non-porous surfaces. So if you are using them on something like wood, sand and prime first.
- Make sure your surface is completely clean. Chartpack recommends you prep the surface with alcohol first.
- Make sure your surface in completely dry before applying the letters and numbers.
Follow these steps, and your letters and numbers stay up through rain, cleaning, and submersion.
