Hi Susan,

Thank you for you question about Mead Expandables 13-Pocket Expanding File. It turned out to be an especially great one, because no one at OnTimeSupplies.com or Mead seemed to know the answer!

In the end, I was able to find someone who has actually seen and touched these expanding files in real life. They do not expand at the bottom. These files are 1" wide at the bottom and hold up to 200 pages.
