Hi Jim,
Thank your for your question about Avery Labels.
All labels have adhesive backs, so I think you need a different type of product all together. We have a couple solutions.
I think Avery® Tabs Inserts For Hanging File Folders are the best solution to your problem. They are available in two sizes:
- 1/2" h x 2" w (product & template # 11136)
- 1/2" h x 3-1/2" w (product & template # 11137)
They aren't the exact same size and width as the ID labels, but they are the closest match available without those sticky backs. Just like the AVE6460 ID Labels, the Tab Inserts come in printable sheets (100 inserts per page). You can quickly customize them using Avery Templates, and run them through your inkjet or laser printer.
Another option is to go with Avery Printable Business Cards.
This is the best option if the 1/2" tab inserts are just too narrow. The smallest Avery Business Cards are 2" h x 3-1/2" w. They too come in printable sheets (10 per page) for easy customization and printing.
