Is the pad retainer removable? I need an easel I can use to present very large matte boards that are much bigger than the pad retainer. Also, the easel needs to be sturdy enough to handle a lot of travel. Is this made of aluminum?

Hi Matt,

Thank you for your question about the Universal One™ Heavy Duty Presentation Easel.

This easel is made of super sturdy, super durable aluminum, so it can handle a lot of travel. However, the pad retainer is not detachable, so I don't think going to suit your needs since it can't accommodate oversized presentation boards.

The Quartet Heavy-Duty Telescoping Tripod Easel is a better option for you. It is made of aluminum too, so you can take on the road without worry about it bending or breaking. Plus, it can display large boards -- up to 48" w X 36" h, and weighing up to 45 lbs.
