Thank you for your question about Georgia Pacific Towel Dispensers.
With this model, you do have to apply a fair amount of strength to get the key to turn. If you have successfully opened the dispenser in the past, you may have an obstruction blocking the locking mechanism.
If your towel dispenser is brand new, it may be a matter of the wrong key or a defect in the construction. In any case, we recommend you call Georgia Pacific directly. They can walk you through their troubleshooting process, and send replacement parts if necessary.
