Hi Marlene,
Thank you very much question about the Mighty Might pencil sharpener. This is a single cutter, it does not have a blade like a manual pencil sharpener. It is a cylinder with groves that will sharpen your pencil. The cylinder will give you a more precise, smooth cut, vs a manual blade sharpener.
