Thanks for your question about the Brother intelliFAX 2840. This fax machine is compatible with Windows 8. Although the literature for the intelliFAX 2840 was printed prior to the release of Windows 8, the manufacturer has indicated that it is compatible with the OS. Windows 8 already includes the plug and play driver needed to use this machine so there is no additional drivers that need to be installed. You simply connect the fax machine to your computer and the OS will detect the device and launch the driver.
