It does hook up to computer, but this sign does not require a computer hook-up. It includes networking software, networking cable, power cord, and an IR remote keyboard. You can program the sign with the remote keyboard OR by hooking it up to your computer with the included software and cable. If you decide to program by computer, you should try to hang the sign in a close proximity to your computer to easily reprogram the sign as needed.
