I have spoken to the manufacturer, and they advise that you cannot sharpen crayons with the I-Point electric pencil sharpener as it will ruin the blade.
You may however be interested in the Elmer Electric Crayon Sharpener, which automatically peels the paper back on the crayon as it sharpens. Replacement blades are also readily available for this sharpener.
