A solvent-based correction fluid contains organics solvents that, if unused, can thicken or harden overtime as the the solvents escape into the air. Solvent based correction fluid is the fastest to dry.
As an alternative, water-based correction fluids are available but may not be compatible with some inks (may soak through them) and has a longer drying time.
